SLSMC Green Marine Results
The St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation (SLSMC) is a founding member of Green Marine, a voluntary environmental
program initiated by the St. Lawrence-Great Lakes marine industry
Green Marine aims at improving the marine industry’s environmental performance based on 13 distinct performance indicators, assessed on a scale of 1 to 5. The results of the Green Marine members are reported on an annual basis, and are reviewed through a rigorous external audit process.
The periodical review of the performance indicators by internal Green Marine committees and by external marine experts help support environmental best practices, through a continuous improvement process.
