Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (GLS)
Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (GLS) is a wholly owned government corporation of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) created by statute May 13, 1954, to construct, operate and maintain the part of the St. Lawrence Seaway between Montreal and Lake Erie that falls within the territorial limits of the United States. The GLS policy headquarters is located in Washington, D.C. The operations headquarters is located in Massena, N.Y., with additional offices located at the two U.S. locks (Eisenhower and Snell) near Massena, N.Y.
