#9 – Mooring Wire Eye Splices

Mariners are advised that mechanical eye splices are not permitted. The eyes of mooring wires are to be of the “hand” spliced construction or of the “Flemish” construction only. Mariners are informed that mooring wire certificates are to be available for inspection/verification.
