Seaway Tolls to Increase by 2.0% in 2016

The St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation (SLSMC) announced a toll rate increase of 2.0% for the 2016 navigation season. It also announced the introduction of a new Gateway Incentive program created to support the system’s competitiveness.
The new revised tariff will be posted and available on the Seaway website today.
The Great Lakes / St. Lawrence Seaway navigation system supports over 227,000 jobs and $35 billion in economic activity per year. The SLSMC remains dedicated to promoting the economic and environmental benefits of marine transportation, attracting new cargoes to the Seaway, and leveraging technology to enhance the system’s performance.
