The St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation will no longer accept cash. There are no changes for payment at US locks.

 

Lockage Schedule for Pleasure Craft (Welland Canal)

Effective July 15, 2019, the St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation is implementing a pleasure craft schedule for transits through the Welland Canal.

The service offering will be based upon the following schedule:

Upbound Transits – from Port Weller to Port Colborne

Transits are available on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

On the day of transit, pleasure crafts must be in position at the Port Weller small boat dock with payment confirmed and registration completed with the Seaway’s Operations Control Centre by 9:00 a.m.

**Pleasure crafts registered after the 9:00 a.m. cut off time will not transit until the next scheduled operating day.**

 Downbound Transits – from Port Colborne to Port Weller

Transits are available on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday

On the day of transit, pleasure crafts must be in position at the Port Colborne small boat dock with payment confirmed and registration completed with the Seaway’s Operations Control Centre by 9:00 a.m.

**Pleasure crafts registered after the 9:00 a.m. cut off time will not transit until the next scheduled operating day.**

During transits, pleasure crafts are to communicate with the Operations Control Center (OCC), utilizing Seaway working frequency Channel 14 (unless otherwise instructed by the OCC).

Lockage Schedule for Pleasure Craft (Montreal / Lake Ontario)

For the 2020 season, the St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation (SLSMC) maintains its service offering for pleasure craft, with dates and times of locks operation similar to those of the Parks Canada Locks.

The Saint-Lambert, Côte Sainte-Catherine and Beauharnois Locks will be open for the passage of pleasure crafts, according to the schedule below:

From June 19 to September 7, 2020 (Labour Day) 9:00 am 8:00 pm
From September 8 to October  12, 2020  (Thanksgiving) 9:00 am 5:00 pm
October 16, 17 and 18, 2020 9:00 am 5:00 pm

In order to guarantee the passage at the end of the day, pleasure craft must be present at the lock one (1) hour before the end of the time indicated in the schedule above and transit of the South Shore (2 locks) and/or Beauharnois (2 locks) sections will be allowed, depending of the commercial maritime traffic.

In addition, two (2) daily lockages will be scheduled in advance during the high season (June 13 to September 13) and will be available on our website as well as via audio recording message at (450) 672-4115, extension 2235.

Lockage information is updated twice daily, at approximately 7:30 and 1:00pm.

This information provided is as accurate as possible but its accuracy cannot be guaranteed. Changes in traffic patterns or unforeseen incidents may result in changes or delays to the posted schedule.

For Snell and Eisenhower US locks, as well as for Iroquois lock in Ontario, there will be no preset lockage schedules for pleasure craft. The schedule for the Larocque Lift Bridge in Valleyfield is also posted on our website.
